From May 12th to 16th, 2025, ‘369’ which is a 25 ft x 8 ft (300” x 96”) mural size painting, acrylic, oil and spray paint on wood, is showcased at Steuben gallery Pratt Institute as Jin’s thesis project. In Collaboration with 3D accessories developed by Shelly Levitte and Fashion Designer Laurence Wei. Their project is about inter dimensional play, an personal understanding of cosmic order, predictability, unpredictability, the title ‘369’ inspired by the numerology paradox of when you add number 1-9 up and divide by singular number it will always sum up to 3, 6 and 9.

Their preferred approach to painting is to paint with their fingers and palm, using color palette inspired by pearlescent colors occurring on sea shells and oil spills. Because of the scale of the project, they combined a large brush and their body into the kinetic movement shown on the panels, representing the subconscious, deconstructed organic forms that resemble living creatures and whirlpools of light. The 6 panels follow the order of night - dawn - light - dusk - night.

‘369’ aims to address timelessness through the lens of a human. Inspired by church murals, Catholicism and Buddhism, the artist in addition had a performance on May 12th, the day of the opening, where they crucified themselves at the center of the painting, cuffed to the panels, the artist remained motionless and silent.
